God has called our family to follow in the footsteps of Jonathan’s parents to continue the promise of ministry being fulfilled through us and the next generation. We are training, equipping, and reaching people for the Kingdom of God in Guadalajara, Mexico.
Beacon Hill mobilizes and equips the church to surround Alaska's most vulnerable children and families--those in foster care or at risk of entering foster care. We aim to mitigate and prevent trauma, strengthen and preserve families, and advocate for adoption. It is our dream to see all children in our community loved and well cared for in healthy homes.
The Brakes have devoted this season of ministry to invest in young leaders both in North America and around the globe. Raising up the next generation of church and ministry leaders has become a consuming passion for them. At present, they are particularly focused on young leaders in Eastern Europe.
Jonna is the Area Director for Young Life, WyldLife, and YoungLives in the Mat-Su Valley and supervisor for Young Life in Fairbanks, Tok, and Valdez. She is an inspiration to our local young people as she leads them by example and lives a full and joy-filled life for Jesus. Young Life introduces adolescents to Jesus Christ and helps them to grow in their faith. They help the furthest out teens live life to the fullest, building healthy relationships between teens and their parents, their peers, and caring adults. Teens are loved and pursued regardless of their response to the Gospel.
The Free Burma Rangers (FBR) is a humanitarian organization, whose mission is to provide hope, help, and love to internally displaced people inside Burma, Sudan, Kurdistan, Iraq, Syria and Ukraine regardless of ethnicity or religion. We follow Jesus and want to be His ambassadors and bring all to a saving relationship with Him. Using a network of indigenous field teams, FBR reports on human rights abuses, casualties, and the humanitarian needs of people who are under oppression. FBR provides medical, spiritual, and educational resources for IDP communities as they struggle to survive attacks.
Jerry and April have served in missions since 2001. They are the founders and directors of Breaking Chains Network, a ministry focused on bringing hope, help, and healing to victims and survivors of human trafficking in Europe and Canada. This is done through the Oasis Ministry Center and Cafe in Belgium, as well as education, training, and trafficking prevention programs.
For 18 years, Johnny and Jenni have served with Youth With a Mission, training and sending hundreds of young people annually on short-term and long-term missions, especially among the unreached. Johnny is the Outcomes Director of The Send, a global missions mobilization movement that has launched thousands into local and global missions. Together, they are leaders in the Fire & Fragrance community, a frontiers-sending movement within YWAM that plants long-term communities among the unreached.
City Relief connects people struggling with poverty and homelessness to the resources they need to survive and the hope they need to create a better life. When everything falls apart, we help create a personalized roadmap for the journey back, one step at a time. We provide access to emergency shelter, food, essential items, employment, long-term housing, a connection to faith, and the belief that a brighter future is possible! In addition, City Relief is helping churches and organizations worldwide to create a more empathetic narrative for our most vulnerable neighbors.
As the facility chaplain at Goose Creek Correctional Center, Gary works to provide ministry and programs that offer hope and real solutions for offenders through God’s transforming work. Partner with Gary to form a bridge of transformation and hope as these "returning citizens" find their place in society.
Set Free Alaska’s President and CEO, Philip Licht, has a powerful testimony and a passion to set the captives free! The vision of Set Free is that all Alaskans experience God’s love, lasting freedom, and abundant life. Their multi-generational programs facilitate hope, healing, and resilience, resulting in lasting change.
Apostle Steven and Cissy Mayanja are passionate about reaching the LOST whatever the COST. Founders of Uganda Christian Outreach Ministries (YESU AKWAGALA) planted over 300 Churches in the Villages of Uganda, equipping world changers, they have planted churches in seven other nations - Rwanda, Burundi, Kenya, Tanzania, Congo, South Sudan in East Africa as well as Ghana in West Africa. Steven Mayanja serves as Director of African Ministry Development with World Outreach Ministry Foundation.
Daulton and Maggie Morock serve as Program Development Directors with World Outreach Ministry Foundation in East Africa. They travel extensively to teach, preach, encourage pastors and churches, and report on needs and progress at our many projects, including 360+ churches, Yesu Akwagala Bible College, primary and secondary schools, and Women's Empowerment Centers in Uganda, Kenya, S. Sudan, Rwanda, Tanzania, Burundi, DRC and Ghana.
Serving as the Executive Director of HeartReach, Joyce is passionate about being Christ's hands of compassion to every family member, both born and unborn. HeartReach has a growing number of prevention, intervention, and support strategies to help young people and parents on their journeys before, during, and after pregnancy.
Joyce and Alger are called to train, mentor, and encourage the young Cambodian church and missionary leaders in Basic Discipleship, Christian Character Development, and Leadership. The seminars are held in many provinces across the country. They also serve with the YWAM Missionary Care Team, providing training that equips missionaries to be effective, healthy, and resilient for more fruitful, long-term service.
The Napiers open pastoral training colleges and outreach centers in East Africa, resulting in church planting among Unreached People Groups and native-led ministry sites that serve communities with education, food, vocational, and business training.
Renew Alaska helps Christian leaders process their past, rest in the present, and thrive in the future. Rob Hunner, who has worked closely with Renew Alaska since its inception, has joyfully taken on the director role as Josh O'Donnell transitioned to Palmer Campus Pastor for COTR. Rob will be leading RenewAK into the next season of ministry with the support of Josh and the board of directors. God is doing some fantastic things, and we look forward to making huge announcements soon.
As a COTR missionary, Bill leads Carry the Cure teams focusing on suicide prevention, reaching Alaskan villages and tribes throughout the nation. Bill uses programs and events including Committed to Life, Iditarod Outreach, school assemblies, community workshops, concerts, and worship experiences to carry the gospel of Jesus Christ to village Alaska and beyond.
David and LaRae Pepper are the founding pastors of Church on the Rock and launched into full-time missions in January 2014. The mission of Amazon Outreach is to make disciples, train leaders, and plant churches sharing life and hope in tangible ways. David and LaRae minister in the jungles of South America to unreached people groups with the gospel of Jesus Christ.
Bill Pepper travels worldwide speaking at and organizing leadership conferences. He and Carlene have been part of our missions conference since the beginning and have been in full-time missions for almost 60 years, with no signs of slowing down soon! The Roets Family, with All Nations, has served in missions for over twenty years, bringing the Good News to unreached people groups worldwide. Their work overseas is primarily in Nepal, the Philippines, and South Africa, where they are dedicated to training and igniting church planting movements among the least reached. Their vision also includes restoring a culture of innocence through truth, healing, and exposing the lies in culture that falsely define the sexual roles of men and women and help establish them in their true God-given identities. This movement has released healing to thousands worldwide through conferences, churches, and discipleship schools.
Eric and Katrina Rozeboom have been serving with Alaska Village Missions since 2005. Eric is the Executive Director of Alaska Village Missions and president of Alaska Bible Institute. Alaska Village Missions carries the gospel to the native villages of Alaska, broadcasts Christian radio to remote areas, and makes disciples at the Alaska Bible Institute (a tuition-free Bible college that trains and equips Christians for life and ministry). The Rozebooms live on the campus of Alaska Bible Institute with their five children, Jude, Asher, Evangeline, Genevieve, and Zoey.
